2% DIN IMPOZITUL PE VENIT Dupa cum bine se stie, Legea 571/2003 va da dreptul sa va exprimati optiunea ca 2% din impozitul pe care il datorati statului sa fie redirectionat catre o fundatie sau asociatie. Tot ce aveti de facut este ca, pana pe data de 15 Mai, sa inscrieti datele asociatiei sau fundatiei alese de dvs. in formularele declaratiilor fiscale: Nr. 230 (punctele A si B), daca realizati venituri strict din salariu -- vezi sau descarca formularul de la: http://doilasuta.ro/pagini/resurse/decl_200_2008.pdfsau Nr. 200 (punctul III), daca realizati si alte venituri decat cele din salariu: http://doilasuta.ro/pagini/resurse/decl_230_2008.pdfNu este nicio problema daca nu stiti care este suma exacta (reprezentata de procent). Puteti lasa casuta necompletata, ea urmand a fi calculata de catre organele fiscale.
Va reamintim ca directionarea a 2% din impozitul pe venit nu afecteaza cu nimic finantele personale, fiind vorba de o suma deja perceputa de catre stat ca impozit, dvs doar decizand acum cui sa fie alocata.

Diplomat de cariera si scriitoare, KIKI SKAGEN MUNSHI a fost director al Bibliotecii Americane din Bucuresti (1983-1987) si consul al Ambasadei Americane (2000-2002) la Bucuresti.
Joi, 26 martie 2009, ora 12.00, la American Corner Bucuresti (etajul I), sediul Bibliotecii Pedagogice Nationale "I.C. Petrescu" (str. Zalomit nr. 12, sector 1, tel./fax: 021.3110323), ca si vineri, 27 martie 2009, la Libraria "Mihail Sadoveanu" (B-dul General Magheru 6-8, sector 1), Kiki Munshi isi va lansa cartea "Nonny, Nani. O poveste indiana" (Editura Taj Books & Media, 2009). Initial, romanul a fost scris in anii 60 pe cand era bursiera Fulbright in India (Bikaner), manuscrisul a fost definitiv pierdut, volumul fiind rescris in totalitate cu un an in urma.

The German Fulbright Alumni board has agreed to organise a powwow in Munich in September (11th - 13th). The topic of our powwow will be the consequences of the financial crisis, or (for better marketing): change@crisis.com. "Since the beginning of the financial crisis the world has been in economic turmoil. Rather than focusing on the causes, the Fulbright Alumni Powwow " change@crisis.com" discusses economic, social and (geo-)political consequences. Which strategies and actions can we imagine to overcome the crisis?" Since this is a topic of significance to all European countries, we decided to open our powwow to a European audience. At this point we are trying to find speakers covering the following topics: - comparison of banking-policy in different European countries - the EU: help or hindrance in the economic crisis? - every crisis also means "opportunity" - calling the government for help = back to communism? If any of you happen to know someone, at university or elsewhere, who could deliver a good-quality / informative / controversial speech on any of these broadly phrased topics (which can of course be narrowed down), we would be grateful for information in this respect. Maybe you yourself feel inclined to be one of our speaker. That would be even better! This conference aims at encouraging public and private research institutions to reflect on the role that an appropriately gendered management plays in the provision of genuine equal opportunities, and the benefit that this could have for science and technology. A new report on 'Joint and Dual/Double Degree Programs in the Transatlantic Context' has just been released by IIE and Freie Universitaet Berlin. The report assesses the current landscape of transatlantic degree programmes and identifies inherent challenges and opportunities of expanding existing or developing new programmes. Women's International Research Engineering Summit (WIRES) in Barcelona, Spain 2-4 June 2009: Do you do research in one of the following areas, or know women who do?

We are looking for women researchers who are interested in pursuing international collaborative researching opportunities in these research areas to attend the upcoming first annual WIRES international summit. The main objective of this summit is to enable meaningful and sustainable research exchanges between female engineers from around the world while identifying issues faced by females pursuing careers in engineering that could benefit from a global strategy. The summit site will be the Hewlett Packard Research and Development Center in Barcelona, Spain. Because of the foundation and corporate support, there will be no conference fee charged for academic women engineers who are chosen to attend the summit. Some of the goals of WIRES are to:
